John,
I checked them out, as did Greg Glass (from the production company that does my show) and they came up clean.
Then, I met with them, and they passed my face-to-face test, THEN I learned that my friend Rob Wills was involved with them.
Do you know Rob?
I've known Rob for a quite while (in the solar world) and he swears by them.
Rob is formulating an official response to all the charges, but I can answer a few:
They take no money on signing.
The deposit is paid on the panels when the installation work actually begins.
Though the factory (in NY, not TX) won’t be built for some time, they will use other manufacturers to satisfy demand until they are ready for production.
The blog is correct about the small amount of money that is paid by the customer, but keep in mind that the customer does not own the panels, they do!
There are well made solar panels still in operation for the past 35 years, and still going strong. If one contract ends, they can installed at another location.
I’m going to get more answers the many good questions folks have had lately, and I’ll pass them on to you as I get them.
Thanks!
Ed
